Brutallus Stomped Brutallus finally lays dead after what seemed like an eternity spent trying; some heartbreaking 1 and 2% wipes, industrial-scale use of consumables and enough people learning Drums of War / Battle etc to form an independent TFR Marching Band. All this plus a lot of hard graft and admirable perseverance went into claiming this kill. The tactics look incredibly simple on paper but the actual tolerances of the fight are so tight that pretty much everyone had to learn new ways to push themselves to the max. "Learn to Tank", "Learn to Heal", "Learn to DPS" and even "Learn to not run around randomly whilst on fire" were pretty much our successive mantras as we made initially slow progress with impressive gains towards the end culminating in a kill 10 seconds before the Enrage. |

After trying various tactics we defeated Kalecgos by combining elements from two or three established tactics with lots of improvisation and communication. On this and subsequent kills we refer to our customised strategy as “Winging It”.
If your Raiders struggle to co-ordinate the 3 people required to complete a Warlock’s Ritual of Summoning then don’t attempt this encounter:
“Portal opened to the Spectral Realm, need everyone in the same Group (plus 1-2 assorted others) to click on it within the next few seconds – healers first!”
Note 1: Unless the first person Portalled is one of a few named individuals in which case a pre-designated Group may (or may not) be asked to follow them. Note 2: If your group is not lucky enough to be chosen for Portalling for a long time and you’ve received too many Arcane DeBuffs you need to take the next Portal that spawns or you will die. Note 3: Tanks ignore all of the above and do their own thing, just keep both Bosses Tanked or the friendly Kalecgos will die – or even your Raid! Don't Taunt the Demon unless your sure at least 1 healer is ready to heal you.
PS: if you are near the portal when it spawns it will blow your pants off.
PPS: don’t forget to keep those Curses under control and watch for Wild Magic!
PPPS: align the health both Bosses to between 13 and 15% each then go for it - preferably killing the Demon first. They both get very cross if one of them drops under 10% health! And so on.
All good fun! |
